Bonaldo Origami

The Origami console draws its inspiration from the namesake ancient Oriental art. “I have always been drawn to the manual craftsmanship of our traditional artisans and to that sophisticated and subtle art of origami,” explains the designer, Gino Carollo.

 

The base, made in painted metal or in the refined burnished or copper-bronze finish, in fact consists of bent thin metal sheets, with the aim of making the frame stable and achieving the utmost visual lightness, almost as if it were challenging gravity. The top, available in various finishings in wood or ceramic, recalls the decisive geometries of the base and further streamlines the overall appearance. Combined with the Origami table, it makes it possible to create environments with coordinated style.
