Details that are transformed into distinctive elements, in a game of renewed proportions and functions. Designed by Cristina Celestino, Calatea is a chair with organic shapes, whose lines are inspired by those of the tropical evergreen from which it takes its name. The backrest, made of matt lacquered polyurethane, thanks to its ergonomic shapes offers itself a welcoming and comfortable support, peculiar and distinctive also due to the presence of a small slit on the upper part of the back. Optional, the backrest cushion: padded like the seat, it makes Calatea even more enveloping, ensuring optimal comfort. The coverings are available in all the fabrics of the Pianca collections, while the legs can be chosen in open pore lacquered wood or in essence. The Calatea chair joins the armchair of the same name which, with its debut in 2017, marked the beginning of the collaboration between Cristina Celestino and Pianca.
